The 120,000 square foot Qatar Foundation Golf Club is the second golf resort to be developed in Qatar. Based on an international competition, MDR worked in close collaboration with internationally renowned golf course designer NCM Network AG in affiliation with champion golfer Jose Maria Olazabal.

The Club serves as the community hub for the development and is a state-of-the art LEED gold facility. It welcomes both resident and guest and, inspirationally, will be the heart and social centerpiece of the community. Public spaces shall flow seamlessly to allow the progression to various functions both indoors and out.  The clubhouse will offer 5-star luxury amenities and services for dining, banquets, receptions, exclusive hotel accommodations, as well as first class golf, swimming, and tennis services.

Interior Design aesthetic designed by MDR Interiors evokes contemporary form, derived from Qatari vernacular. Spaces are defined by walls, courts, and columns with asymmetrical and non-axial geometry to adapt to golf views and relate to Qatari organic massing.  Desirable physical attributes such as filtered daylighting, energy efficiency, and enduring, high quality materials shall be used. Qatari art and Arabic patterning are integrated throughout the clubhouse.
